Creating an exhibit of word sculptures has been on my “back burner” for quite some time. I have several design ideas for an exhibit featuring inspirational, prophetic, and moving words and phrases. I am confident that in the future, this exhibit will come to fruition. In the meantime, Live Your Dreams was an experimental introduction into my word sculpture design. From a technical point of view, I really like the rigid and crisp lines of the individual letters, making them very strong and independent from each other. It exudes just the right presence and statement I had hoped for.
The phrase itself resonates with me, because I believe we all need to have dreams or visions that we aspire to. The ultimate goal is to reach the point where you are able to actually live your dreams, to have turned those hopes and aspirations into your reality.
This piece is one that would work well horizontally, too. I would like to try it with larger letters turned on the side with the “live your” on top of the word dreams. There is a lot of room for design variations with words and letters. I look forward to designing more in the near future.
