Retro Tree is a combination piece constructed with both Cor-Ten and Stainless Steel. It also combines abstract elements with more iconic and recognizable features.

The halos on the trees are inspired by my earlier 3 Cubes piece. They are very abstract in nature and a perfect example of the strong inspiration and influence I feel from the Googie style of art. The addition of the tree trunks, branches, and bird make it a more familiar and recognizable piece to people.

Once again, I have used contrasting finishes on the Stainless Steel to make them pop and give them added dimension.
