Why this job is different from so many jobs: I had a slow go at the art show this weekend....no sales Saturday, Sunday is very sluggish....my spirit is taking a bit of a hit......then.....a woman walks into my booth, looks around and says " I love your work, and I want all of these, everything here, when can you get them to me ? Oh, and by the way.... The Bachelorette is going to be filming at my house in March and I would like them in place for that".....well......my day got better ! You just never know ! ... This is a brand new artwork for 2016. It is called Koi Pond and those who know me, know that I collect Koi and have fun with my Koi Pond. This video seems like a nice way to look at the beauty of nature and it reminds me of a lesson I have learned from art-lovers and art-seekers...."put a bird on it". I have learned that people love birds and associate them with many emotions. That is why I have incorpated crows, cardinals, and song birds into my art and will continue to do so. Enjoy this musical inspiration.....thank you Henry Charles for sharing it originally ! ... See MoreSee Less

Birds naturally station themselves as musical notes on electric wires, so a guy (Jarbas Agnelli) decides to play it, hear what it sounds like. So beautiful Karim Metwaly

First of 3 NH stops today.....this is at Southern New Hampshire University campus. I was there today to assist with installing some artwork that will remain on campus through the end of 2016. Then I am off to the MillBrook Gallery in Concord to pick up some of my sculptures that were being displayed by the lovely Pam Tarbell. Lastly it is onto the Hays Estate on the Fells in Sunappee, where my 8' American Dog has been displayed for the summer (and was featured briefly on the "tank away" spotlight of November 4th's episode of Chronicle). Just recieved this picture and this email from a client.
Love that they have gifted the artwork to a wonderful location and the art will hopefully inspire and move many people for many years to come :

We purchased your sculpture "Set Free" several years ago for our garden. We decided to move this year and bought a house that was urban and had no yard. We gifted your beautiful statue to the Woodstock Reformed Church in Woodstock, NY. They have installed this sculpture on the lawn at the side entrance to the church. The church food pantry is reached through this entrance, as well as many self help groups. We thought it would be inspirational to have "Set Free" greeting so many people who are looking for solace.

Six years later, and Dale has accrued numerous new honors and done many more shows and public installations of all types. And, he has begun producing tabletop versions of his iconic "Big Dog."
